UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his resignation in a speech Thursday after enduring a slate of ministerial scandals and recent high-profile resignations among the British parliament, the BBC reported.

Sixteen members of Johnson’s cabinet resigned Monday and Tuesday, including Senior Health Secretary Sajid Javid and chancellor Rishi Sunak, in a move many thought would spell Johnson’s demise. The departures came in response to Johnson’s alleged complicity in covering up sexual misconduct among Chris Pincher, the Conservative deputy chief who resigned on June 30, according to the Associated Press.

Johnson fought back, rejecting calls for a “dignified exit,” according to Reuters, but apparently it was not enough to restore faith in his ability to lead.

“In the last few days I have tried to persuade my colleagues that it would be eccentric to change governments when we are delivering so much and when we have such a vast mandate, and when we’re actually only a handful of points behind in the polls,” Johnson said in his address. “I regret not to have been successful in those arguments, and of course it’s painful not to be able to see through so many ideas and projects myself.”

He blamed his resignation on a herd instinct in Parliament.

“To that new leader, whoever he or she may be, I saw I will give you as much support,” he said. “I want you to know how sad I am to be giving up the best job in the world, but them’s the breaks.”

Johnson said he had appointed a cabinet to serve alongside him until a new leader is elected on a yet unspecified timeline. (RELATED: Bibi 2.0? Israeli Parliament Votes To Dissolve, Clears The Way For Netanyahu’s Return)

He noted that many individuals voted for Johnson’s conservative party for the first time in the 2019 election, giving him a historic majority.

“Thank you for that incredible mandate,” he said to the voters.

Johnson also claimed significant accomplishments during his time in office, including Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic response, a quick vaccine development and lockdown exit, restoring power into the hands of the people and “leading the West in standing up to Putin’s aggression in Ukraine.”

Johnson formally delivered his resignation address less than a month after surviving a no-confidence vote among the UK Parliament by a slim margin, with nearly half of his party voting to oust him, NPR reported in June.

Other complications to Johnson’s leadership include accusations that Johnson and his staff violated pandemic regulations several times to attend parties while the remainder of the country adhered to strict lockdown policies

These Are Again the Times That Try Men’s Souls

Philip Martin

Washington Crossing the Delaware

Although the Revolutionary War started well for the American troops, it was not long into 1776 that things took a turn for the worse. New York City was conquered in a mere three-month period between August and November after British troops landed in Long Island. From there, Washington, with six thousand men, fled the city southwest across New Jersey, chased by General Cornwallis. Eventually, the American Commander settled on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River.

Though many of the thousands of troops made it to the encampment safely, nearly two thousand were in need of hospital care, and a significant number of others had deserted the young army out of fear that the war had already been lost.

A brutal winter was imminent, and morale was low. Nearing late December, Washington was given a copy of a pamphlet published by Thomas Paine on the 19th of that month, which began as such:

These are the times that try men’s souls: the summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

The last decade or so of American life has had Christians and Conservatives of all stripes on their heels. Despite laws passing, for example, at the state level opposing so-called same-sex “marriage” (California included), the nation’s high court deemed them—in a stretch worthy of a yoga instructor—unconstitutional. States have declared themselves abortion sanctuaries and passed laws permitting the killing of the unborn that have Kim and Putin blushing.

And that’s just the laws.

Culturally, it has been a tidal wave, and across the board of public life at that. Don’t fall in line? You’re a bigot. Won’t fly this flag, and turn your back on my parade? You’re a hater. Believe in objective truth? You’re anti-freedom. Think timeless institutions deserve the benefit of the doubt? You’re obviously un-American. You’re teaching your children to believe in God and love of neighbor? The government is God, you freakish weirdo; I’m calling Child Protective Services. We have been chased, and we have retreated.

When Washington read Paine’s words, he requested that they be read to his men, which boosted morale and ushered in a new wave of courage that would be needed a few short days later. Despite icy waters and uncooperative weather, the men crossed the Delaware River. Men who couldn’t swim, horses, and artillery boarded boats and whatever could float and crossed that river. The unsuspecting enemy, grown dull to surprise by frequent skirmishes and led by drunken men off their guard, were delivered the greatest Christmas present in American history.

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

In these last two weeks, we have won a victory. A victory for the Constitution. A victory for America. A victory for the unborn. A victory for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The flag-waving majority were caught off guard in their own month, drunk on their side of the river. Roe is dead!

Though the victory, these are the times that try men’s souls. The-end-justifies-the-means Left has been dealt a blow; but like Bilbo in the cave of Smaug this, I believe, is just the awakening. The summer soldier who can’t stomach the cultural and intellectual battles to come needs a good shaking about the shoulders and the conviction that truth and souls, like bodies, are worth dying for, even though it may come by the mere spilling of sweat or the burning of bridges.

The American troops’ return to the western side of the Delaware River, it has been said, was more dangerous than the first crossing. But the danger was softened by the celebratory mood (and the spoils of war). Though it was a winter of victories, the war would drag on through blood and mud and betrayal and broken promises and death and hell for seven long years. Those of us who were not alive to see the institution of Roe have seen its death; but, in this war of attrition, we are in for another 50 years of the slow conversion of hearts that have characterized the pro-life movement in recent decades.

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

There will be blood, of that there is no doubt. There always has been. Tolerance, according to Chesterton, is the virtue of the man without convictions, and it is truly a one-way street. There has always been a fight. From the French ten-day week to the quill in the hand of Marx to the present day there has been battle, and far too often Catholics in modern America from the top down and everywhere in between have shivered at the prospect of confrontation. But confrontation it must be. Winning for the sake of winning? Certainly not. Winning for the sake of souls, of truth, of freedom? All are worthy of the shedding of blood, either metaphorically or physically.

But today, in this moment, a respite, a deep breath. Yes, like Washington’s men, a celebration, a victory! But, shortly thereafter, the reality: gather your conviction, for though the corpse of Roe may rot, the ghost will continue to haunt, and thus the struggle is just beginning. And indeed, as Paine said so truly nearly 250 years ago, the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

Roe Overturned: The Joy, the Sorrow, and What Else Needs to Be Overturned-Crisis

Roe Overturned: The Joy, the Sorrow, and What Else Needs to Be Overturned-Crisis

Monica Migliorino Miller

Burial

I have been active in the pro-life movement for over 46 years. I never assumed or took for granted that Roe v. Wade would be overturned in my lifetime. On the evening of May 2nd, I was hunched over my computer reading emails while an episode of Dateline to which I hardly paid attention was on TV in front of me. Suddenly, a new email popped up in my in-box. The subject read “Dobbs written opinion leaked—Roe v. Wade overturned!”

I was stunned, and then I wept as a wave of emotion came over me. Oddly, I also was afraid to be happy— “Is this really true?” “Will this really happen?” After all, the leaked written opinion is not actually the final word. Yet, there it was, almost as a dream. Then, on June 24, 2022, after 49 years of struggle, the dream became a reality with the Supreme Court’s 6 to 3 decision that finally brought the slaughter of Roe v. Wade to an end.

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

Instantly, millions of pro-lifers across the country were swept into euphoria. Photos on the front pages of major newspapers tell the story: images of ecstatic pro-lifers contrasted with images of downcast abortion advocates, mourning that they can no longer kill their unborn children with constitutional protection. Yes, those who believe in the sanctity of life should have great joy and should celebrate the demise of Roe as several states have already moved to ban abortion. Thousands of unborn children will be spared death by abortion.

Indeed, many were immediately granted reprieve in states like Wisconsin. Just after the Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs decision, that state’s Planned Parenthood medical director, Kathy King, featured on NBC Nightly News, announced to women sitting in the waiting room of PP’s Milwaukee facility that scheduled abortions would not be performed.

However, the joy of many, including this pro-life veteran, has been tempered by being immediately plunged into post-Roe battles. I live in Michigan. When the Dobbs decision was leaked, I, with pro-life Michiganders anticipating the reversal of Roe, was also overjoyed as Michigan’s 1931 ban on abortion, a ban that survived a 1972 challenge, was poised to go into effect.

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

That joy was short-lived. A statewide petition drive was initiated, sponsored by Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and Michigan Voices. Called Reproductive Freedom for All, these groups seek to repeal that 1931 law and enshrine the “right” to abortion into Michigan’s state constitution. Should the petitioners succeed in obtaining the needed 425,000 signatures, and it looks like they have succeeded, a referendum will appear on the November ballot. Depending on the outcome, Michigan could turn into a mecca for the killing of the unborn—killing through the ninth month of gestation with little to no restrictions.

Joy is also tempered by the fact that no less than four days after Dobbs was announced, four pro-lifers were convicted in a Flint, Michigan, court for their participation in a June 7, 2019, Red Rose Rescue. Dobbs characterized Roe as “egregiously wrongly decided from the start.” This means, indeed, that the women scheduled for abortions at the Flint facility never had a right to abortion to begin with! Nonetheless, once again, pro-life rescuers were denied a “defense of others.” Even post-Roe, in Judge Newblatt’s court the unborn still counted as nothing.

And frankly, while the reversal of Roe is cause for great joy and cause for great hope, there is, nonetheless, a reason why everyone who cares about the cause of life should also mourn. When I read the words of Justice Alito that Roe v. Wade “was egregiously wrong from the start,” I immediately thought, “This decision, ‘egregiously wrong from the start,’ caused the extermination of over sixty million human beings!” The injustice of Roe v. Wade is staggering.

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

America is responsible for the slaughter of a people-group—the slaughter of a people-group under a court ruling that should never have existed to begin with! America can’t just say, “Oops, sorry.” Rather, we have to face it. We have to own what this country has done to the unborn. As a nation, we have to repent of this murder and beg the forgiveness of God.

The injustice of Roe v. Wade is very personal for me. I am one of maybe fifty people in the world who has actually retrieved literally thousands of broken bodies of aborted children from abortion center trash containers, photographed them, and buried them. In this sorrow I learned the true significance of abortion and the true significance of Roe v. Wade. Roe is not just a legal opinion, nor is it simply a political issue. Roe v. Wade is a philosophy. Roe is over, but the philosophy of Roe is still here. And it is the philosophy of Roe that also needs to be culturally overturned.

The slogan “I have a right to do what I want with my own body” is the creed that exclaims a radical autonomy upon which the quest for self-determination rests. My own body—meaning my own self—is a self not in relation to others, and only by such a self-proclaimed autonomy may I truly be who I am.

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

This sort of radical individualism was enshrined within the United States Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. Roe articulates an anthropology about what it means to be human. Roe v. Wade’s denial of the right to life of unborn children was founded on two arguments. The first is that for the purposes of the right to life the unborn are declared to be non-persons, and as such, they are not the subject of rights as the decision famously, or perhaps infamously stated: “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins.” At most, unborn children represent “potential life.” However, the unborn stripped of their personhood is not enough to facilitate their slaughter.

Plenty of things—literally things—are protected by law. Property is protected, ships are protected, corporations are protected. And there are plenty of legal restrictions on how people may treat animals, with some species absolutely protected in every sense. Thus, the “mere” failure of the justices to recognize the unborn as persons is not enough to have ushered in their extermination at the rate of over sixty million.

The denial of personhood to the unborn is an atrocious injustice. Yet, it is the other finding of the court that ultimately sealed the fate of this disadvantaged class—namely, the “right to privacy.” The “right to privacy” in Roe v. Wade is a privacy of a special kind. Indeed, with Roe we have the invention, some may say “discovery,” of a new “right.”

The “right to privacy” was engineered by the so-called-Catholic Justice William Brennan—based on the earlier 1965 contraception ruling of the Court, Griswold v. Connecticut. Here, as many may already know, the Court found that prohibiting the sale of contraceptives, even to married couples, was unconstitutional based on the “right to privacy.” This “right to privacy” was expanded to include non-married couples as well in the 1972 Supreme Court case Eisenstadt v. Baird.

However, in Roe v. Wade privacy is no longer a right that encircles the family, husbands and wives, or male/female couples, insulating them from unwarranted government regulation and intrusion into their “private” sexual affairs. The “right to privacy” shrunk from privacy that encompassed persons in relation to a “privacy” that now encircled one particular individual—namely, the woman alone. In Roe v. Wade, the “right to privacy” is a sphere of privacy only around the woman. The woman in the court’s decision completely stands alone. The decision created and defends the isolated female, who must first be placed in this sphere of isolation in order to exercise the ultimate power to kill another—to indeed cast out of herself that person most close to herself—her unborn son or daughter.

This is the dynamic of Roe v. Wade. The court ruling was based on the premise that there are no inherent human relationships. The woman stands alone, apart from literally everyone else in the world. And within her private zone of isolation, any moral obligations she may have toward others are shattered.

For instance, according to Roe v. Wade, husbands in relation to their wives within the covenant of marriage do not exist. In Roe v. Wade, a wife who conceives a child within the marital bond may kill that baby and the husband need never know; indeed, he has no right to know that his offspring was exterminated! The Court determined the woman owes her husband nothing because the woman who stands alone has no marital-relational responsibilities. Hence the pro-abortion slogan “No uterus, no say!”

According to Roe v. Wade, fathers do not exist. Under Roe, if a boyfriend who begets a child wishes to save that child from being put to death, he has no rights over the life of that baby. According to the original decision, not even parents of a pregnant minor daughter had any say as to whether or not their grandchild lived or died.

Roe v. Wade created the autonomous woman. It is an ethic of isolation—a manifesto that declares that inherent human relationships simply do not exist—they have no moral meaning. In order for the slaughter of the unborn to be accomplished, the bonds of the human community have to first be undone.

Legalized abortion is practiced according to that Sartrean principle that “hell is other people.” Here is the declaration that human freedom depends on being free from others—to be free from anyone who may restrict my right to self-determination. Privacy in Roe rests on the assumption that human freedom is freedom from being in relation to others, as the very presence of others compromises my choices and thus, according to the ethic of isolation, my very selfhood. Roe is over, and many unborn children will thus find their right to life protected. But Roe’s ethic of isolation remains. This, too, must be overcome if the unborn are truly to be free.

My pro-life work has taught me many lessons. But one lesson stands out from all the others. My book Abandoned—The Untold Story of the Abortion Wars records how the greatest lesson of abortion was impressed upon me. In 1988, we had discovered that Vital Med, a pathology lab in Northbrook, Illinois, was leaving the remains of aborted babies out on its loading dock to be picked up by a waste incinerator company. The fetal remains were shipped there by parcel post from abortion centers as far away as Fargo, North Dakota.

Motivated by our faith, we knew we had to retrieve these abandoned bodies. Our first trip to the laboratory took place February 20, 1988:

Covered by the darkness of night, we wove our way through the labyrinthine streets between buildings and empty parking lots of the deserted industrial park. Finally, we arrived at our destination: a large garage connected to the building that housed the pathology lab.

We parked our cars in the parking lot of a building across the street. I got out of the car and breathed in the cold night air. Our small group walked to the entrance of the garage. A utility door on the right side of the garage doors had been left open, so we entered. We immediately stood on a long concrete ramp that led down to the loading dock. On the dock were three green dumpsters. Several heavy-duty cardboard barrels were stacked along the back wall. We began to walk slowly down the ramp. I could see dozens and dozens of boxes on the dock strewn about haphazardly. As we approached, I felt a cold numbness stealing over me. When we reached the loading dock, I knelt by a stack of boxes to examine them more closely. Pulling back the flaps of one of the boxes, I saw that it was filled to the top with the bodies of aborted babies. There were literally hundreds of them; all packed in Whirl Paks and specimen jars. Each box on the dock was similarly filled with fetal remains. Some of the boxes were open. The cardboard barrels also contained Whirl Paks, mixed in with waste and debris.

I was struck by the realization that all of these fetal children had been alive only a few short days ago. Now they lay dead and abandoned, cut from their mothers’ wombs, cut from the human race: corpses of fetal bodies stacked on a loading dock inside an industrial park in boxes marked “for disposal.”

As I stood on the edge of the loading dock it seemed my journey and theirs had brought us together at the edge of the world. Here the aborted had been cast adrift in a desolate sea. A dark, sad, heavy revelation suddenly took life deep inside my being. Abortion wasn’t just about killing—and pro-life work wasn’t just about restoring to the unborn their right-to-life. In the image of those tiny human lives scattered about the loading dock I came to know the true plight of the aborted unborn. The sort of deaths they suffered made them horribly, frighteningly alone.

We had to go to the edge of the world to bring them back—to give what remained of them their first and last human embrace.

My trips to “the edge of the world” taught me that the true plight of the aborted unborn wasn’t “just” that they are deprived of their right-to-life. They endure a deeper plight as they are plunged by abortion into a void of alienation. In their dismembered bodies is incarnated their dismemberment from the human family. I began to know their isolation and to understand that it is caused by the triumph of another individual in isolation–a lonely monadic self who must secure its own identity and power by suppressing or annihilating all who threaten to be in relation to it. The babies on the loading dock were apart from their mothers. Apart from their fathers. Apart from the towns and cities where they had been conceived. Far from home. In them I knew the denial of mankind’s most intrinsic bonds. Abortion doesn’t just kill the unborn—it is separation, the dissolution of human communion.

The task of the pro-life movement is not “just” to secure legal protection for the unborn. Roe’s ethic of isolation that spells death for children in utero must also be reversed. The pro-life goal is to establish true inclusiveness, based on authentic human communion. Therefore, what pro-lifers are really doing is putting the world back together again.

They really committed to the bit, too. You weren’t even allowed to call it a bit because they’d start saying you’re a Nazi for defending a Nazi. It was wild.❖1. Use narrative manipulation to divide the population into a roughly 50/50 ideological split. 2. Ensure you control both of those factions.3. Convince everyone that the only reason nothing changes is because their half of the population doesn’t win enough elections.Everyone’s pulling on a rope that doesn’t lead anywhere and doesn’t do anything, convinced by powerful manipulators that they’re engaged in a life-or-death tug o’ war match of existential importance. Meanwhile the powerful just do as they like, completely indifferent to that spectacle and its back-and-forth exchanges. A group is artificially split into two sides and told to pull a rope in opposite directions while someone else stands back and shoots them all with a BB gun. When they complain about the welts, they’re told it’s happening because their side isn’t pulling hard enough. But really they’d be getting shot no matter what they did. This doesn’t mean give up, it just means give up on the fake tug o’ war game. If you’re playing tug o’ war while someone rummages through your handbag looking for cash, the first step to stopping them is putting down the rope and going after them. It’s like if everyone was pushing on a fake fire escape in a burning building: the first step to getting them out of there is showing them that the door is just painted on the wall and doesn’t lead anywhere. That’s not telling them to give up hope, it’s just telling them to give up on an ineffective strategy.❖Every claim the western « rules-based international order » makes about itself and its values has been discredited by the persecution of Julian Assange.❖Current US and NATO proxy warfare in Ukraine isn’t sufficient to defeat Russia, or even to stop Putin from continuing to capture territory in eastern Ukraine. All it’s sufficient for is making the war costly for Moscow while Ukrainians keep dying. That’s because this is exactly what the empire wants. »I care about Ukrainians, so I support a negotiated settlement » is a morally coherent position. »I care about Ukrainians, so I support direct hot war with Russia » is also morally coherent, if insane. »I care about Ukrainians, so let’s keep doing what we’ve been doing » is not morally coherent at all.It makes sense to support a negotiated peace settlement if you want to save Ukrainian lives. In a twisted, deranged sense it also makes sense to support direct NATO intervention against Russia to save Ukrainian lives. But continuing with the current plan clearly does not make sense as a strategy for saving Ukrainian lives, because it just keeps getting them killed.I of course point this out not to advocate a third world war, but to show that the western empire does not care about Ukrainian lives and isn’t doing what it claims to be doing with its proxy warfare in that country. If the empire cared even the slightest whit about Ukrainian lives it would be drastically changing its approach, one way or the other. The fact that it’s just maintaining the status quo of continuous death is their confession that they only care about grand chessboard maneuverings for global control, not the actual people who are fighting and dying.❖One funny thing about Twitter is that the target audience for most posts made by blue-check journalists and pundits is not their followers but other blue-check journalists and pundits. Western news media is just one big circle jerk of bootlicking assholes seeking validation from other bootlicking assholes. That’s why so many of their tweets get so little traction but they’ll still have one or two blue-ticks chuckling at their esoteric witticisms and obscure references in the replies; it’s because they’re tweeting for each other, not for normal people. And that’s how the entire profession works. The Pulitzers are just a bunch of propagandists giving each other trophies and assuring each other they’re doing brave and important work. Meanwhile the public just gets more and more disgusted with them, but they don’t care because their validation doesn’t come from the public. They complain that they don’t get enough respect when in reality they get far too much. They’re absolutely the worst people on earth. A bunch of worthless, simpering sycophants, the whole lot of them.________________My work is entirely reader-supported, so if you enjoyed this piece please consider sharing it around, following me on FacebookTwitterSoundcloud or YouTube, or throwing some money into my tip jar on Ko-fiPatreon or Paypal. Who, which MP, with MPP, which congressperson, which senator got money, their families, their buddies, for as sure as the sun shines, these people stole money…we need to find out who and jail them! We start investigating Fauci, Bourla of Pfizer, Bancel of Moderna, Francis Collins, Birx, Walensky…all of them…proper legal public inquiries, public, proper, no kangaroo but we examine each policy. We examine Tam in Canada, proper inquiries, any ties to WHO and which person got illicit money, any $, we examine all, Trump administration, Biden administration, Trudeau administration, Boris…all…. COVID was a money train, a corrupted fraud and we need accountability, for our good police and military and good people forced mandated these fraud injections and now many are COVID vaccine injured and do not know it; yet; we predict harms and deaths coming massively on them. I pray daily for my police and military. What Trudeau did to the truckers in January in Canada was monstrous. He brutalized them and beat protestors and truckers. The Supreme Court of Canada said it was. The RCMP alluded to this too. We need this addressed with proper inquiry. Every single COVID policy must be examined and any official who caused the death of people must be financially penalized and many must be jailed for what they did!

(LifeSiteNews) – It isn’t news that nearly the entire entertainment elite of the United States of America supports the abortion industry. Actress Michelle Williams went as far as to boast that her abortion was the only reasons she won a Golden Globe; celebrities have been releasing furious statements about red state pro-life laws for years. But still – there was something eye-opening about the way actors, actresses, singers, late night hosts (including the self-declared public Catholic Stephen Colbert), and other members of America’s creative class fell into lockstep behind the abortion activists with the fall of Roe v. Wade last month.

According to a CNN report, Will & Grace star Debra Messing was so livid that on a White House call with “dozens of celebrity Democratic supporters and activists” Messing actually yelled that she’d gotten Biden elected, demanded to know why she was being asked to do anything after Roe’s fall, and stated that there seemed to be no point to voting. (In a move that is unlikely to have cooled the mood, those who participated in the call received an email later on with a list of suggested talking points as well as Biden speech clips that could be shared on TikTok.)

Mark Ruffalo called packing the Court “saving the USA,” because an America where babies are protected in some states is, to the Marvel Universe’s angriest citizen, unthinkable. (He also called the Court “fascist” and suggested that “we must revolt.” We’ll keep you updated on Ruffalo’s revolt as news comes in.) Chris Evans, who last made news stating that anyone who didn’t appreciate a gay couple being shoehorned into the new Disney film Lightyear (which bombed at the box office) was a “dinosaur” also expressed his alarm: “This is absolutely unbelievable. If you’re not worried about Roe v Wade, you’re not paying attention. This is why voting matters!!”

One of the grimly amusing aspect of watching the entire entertainment elite of the United States howl for feticide is how little most of them know about America’s abortion regime. Actress Jessica Biel, for example, posted a photo of herself with husband Justin Timberlake in Paris with the caption: “You have croissants AND Women’s Rights? D**n, take me back.” Biel is apparently unaware of the fact that the Mississippi law at the center of the Dobbs case is a 15-week abortion ban. France bans abortion at…14 weeks. Most celebrities seem unaware of the fact that the liberal countries they lionize actually have stricter abortion laws than most of America (including many red states). Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day even announced that he’d be renouncing his U.S. citizenship over Roe’s fall and moving permanently to the U.K. which…has stricter abortion laws than California.

A roundup of celebrity singers (most of whom I’d never heard of) also came forward to mourn the death of Roe. Halsey claimed that an abortion “saved my life.” Singers Olivia Rodrigo and Lilly Allen joined for a duet of “F*** You” to the Supreme Court. Jennifer Lopez, best known for stripper sets at the Superbowl Halftime Show, told her Instagram fans that: “We are living in an America I don’t recognize.” Rapper Kendrick Lamar donned a crown of thorns and chanted “Godspeed to women’s rights!” to his audience. Phoebe Bridges went even further, stating: “I had an abortion in October of last year while I was on tour. I went to Planned Parenthood where they gave me the abortion pill. It was easy. Everyone deserves that kind of access.”

And of course there was pop star Pink, who melted down with a combination of blasphemy and all-caps on Twitter: “Let’s be clear: if you believe the government belongs in a woman’s uterus, a gay persons business or marriage, or that racism is okay- THEN PLEASE IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD NEVER F–KING LISTEN TO MY MUSIC AGAIN. AND ALSO F–K RIGHT OFF. We good?” (Yeah, Pink. We good.)

Meghan Markle, unsurprisingly, took the opportunity to emphasize what a proud feminist the wayward Windsor princeling is. “My husband and I talked about that a lot over the past few days,” she said of Roe. “He’s a feminist too, and his reaction was guttural, like mine. I know that for so many women right now, there is a sentiment of despair.” Presumably Markle didn’t mean “guttural” but “gut-wrenching” or something of the sort, but her point is clear enough: Harry is a feminist and we are relevant.

None of this will come as a shock to anyone, but as conservatives wake up to the fact that America’s storytellers – Disney, Netflix, Hollywood – despise their values, this is a good reminder. Do we want to let these people sing their songs and tell their stories to upcoming generations? Do we want to participate in a culture created by people committed to the destruction of pre-born children? Do we want our children to follow these people on social media; to emulate their example; to fantasize about becoming them? The answer should be obvious. These people are doing everything they can to make sure that it is.

(LifeSiteNews) – The information presented in this article is what “the science” reportedly says about advanced innovative medical and wireless technologies that do not require technologies to be surgically implanted into the brain and could be used remotely and covertly to surveil the human brain and also cause harm through torture. Some readers may not want to read the information in the article. Similar to the question of whether COVID-19 was falsified, the subject of advanced innovative technologies surveilling or controlling the brain is supposed to be too crazy to discuss; and, similar to COVID-19 possibly being falsified, there is actually a large amount of information which suggests that remote and covert brain surveillance and at least partial brain control, or stimulation of neurons and therefore stimulation of some thoughts and emotions, is possible. The reader could be reminded several times throughout this article that most of the information presented is reportedly “the science.” If one disagrees with or does not like the information provided in this article, one is advised to direct one’s suspicions or criticisms towards the scientists rather than those that simply quote what the science says and describe potentially harmful implications of such science.

* * *

There are a few U.S. federal government brain research programs which should be given more attention due to their potential to develop brain technologies which could be used remotely and covertly to cause significant harm, especially if used by U.S. federal and local government law enforcement or intelligence entities.

One program is a science and technology program of the U.S. federal government’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) which began during the Obama-Biden administration known as the “Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative.” The Obama-Biden White House announcement for the program explains:

The Initiative promises to accelerate the invention of new technologies that will help researchers produce real-time pictures of complex neural circuits and visualize the rapid-fire interactions of cells that occur at the speed of thought. Such cutting-edge capabilities, applied to both simple and complex systems, will open new doors to understanding how brain function is linked to human behavior and learning, and the mechanisms of brain disease.

The NIH then created a “working group” of brain researchers and other scientists to advise the U.S. federal government. The working group then produced the document entitled “Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Working Group Report to the Advisory Committee to the Director, NIH” which was then published by the U.S. federal government; the report summarizes non-classified information on brain research up until about the year 2013. The report is worth reading in full as it describes advanced innovative technologies that can be used to “record,” “decode,” and “manipulate” the human brain.  Life is winning! A separate article may explain the BRAIN Initiative Report more thoroughly, but for this article only two quotations are going to be provided. First, the BRAIN Initiative Report describes that

it is within reach to characterize all cell types in the nervous system, and to develop tools to record, mark, and manipulate these precisely defined neurons in vivo. We envision an integrated, systematic census of neuronal and glial cell types, and new genetic and non-genetic tools to deliver genes, proteins, and chemicals to cells of interest. Priority should be given to methods that can be applied to many animal species and even to humans. (Page 23, emphasis added)

Also, the BRAIN Initiative Report explains that scientists

should seize the challenge of recording dynamic neuronal activity from complete neural networks, over long periods, in all areas of the brain. There are promising opportunities both for improving existing technologies and for developing entirely new technologies for neuronal recording, including methods based on electrodes, optics, molecular genetics, and nanoscience, and encompassing different facets of brain activity, in animals and in some cases in humans. (Page 33)

In one way or another many have probably heard of medical technologies which can “see inside” the human body and/or brain. Medical imaging technologies like X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, computed tomography (CT scan), and other techniques can “see” inside the human body and/or brain, whereas the brain technology known as electroencephalography can record what is called the electrical activity of the brain.

Many probably also know that most of those technologies have been available for many years to be perfected by scientists. The BRAIN Initiative Report mentioned previously discusses some of those technologies to be perfected to literally “mind read” and “mind control” (the U.S. federal government calls for research on humans for “controlling specified cell types and circuits”; that is, literally, “mind control”).

The scientific terminology includes the words “record,” “decode,” “manipulate,” and “stimulate” instead of “mind read,” “brain read,” “brain control,” or “mind control.” The scientific and non-scientific words may have some slight differences in meaning, but for the most part they appear to be used similarly.

DARPA’s mind-reading project

Most have probably thought that the human brain is too complicated and/or protected for an advanced brain technology to be able to record and decode (read) human thoughts, emotions, and memories without having brain surgery and implanting some sort of technology. Similarly, most have probably thought that brain stimulation or manipulation (again, “mind control”) without brain surgery is impossible due to the complexity of the brain and its surrounding protections.

However, the BRAIN Initiative Report described above mentions several (optical, acoustic, magnetic, electrical/electronic, and other electrochemical) technologies which could already have been developed for such brain recording or manipulation without surgery (sometimes generally referred to as “non-invasive” technologies). Again, that BRAIN Initiative Report is non-classified or not secret government information, and it describes technologies up to about the year 2013.

One of the participants in the BRAIN Initiative is the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). DARPA is the U.S. government entity and part of the Department of Defense and apparently played a significant part in inventing the internet, years before it was used by the public. A few years ago, DARPA published plans to develop such brain technologies which record and manipulate the human brain and do not require surgery. The program is called the “Next-Generation Nonsurgical Neurotechnology” or “N3” program, described in this manner:

The envisioned N3 technology breaks through the limitations of existing technology by delivering an integrated device that does not require surgical implantation, but has the precision to read from and write to 16 independent channels within a 16mm3 volume of neural tissue within 50ms. Each channel is capable of specifically interacting with sub-millimeter regions of the brain with a spatial and temporal specificity that rivals existing invasive approaches. Individual devices can be combined to provide the ability to interface to multiple points in the brain at once.

To enable future non-invasive brain-machine interfaces, N3 researchers are working to develop solutions that address challenges such as the physics of scattering and weakening of signals as they pass through skin, skull, and brain tissue, as well as designing algorithms for decoding and encoding neural signals that are represented by other modalities such as light, acoustic, or electro-magnetic energy. (Emphasis added)

“Writing to” is another phrase which apparently generally means “control” or manipulate parts of the human brain. Several potential technologies were described in a DARPA communication in 2019. One team of researchers aimed to develop

a completely noninvasive device that uses an acousto-optical approach to record from the brain and interfering electrical fields to write to specific neurons. The team will use ultrasound waves to guide light into and out of the brain to detect neural activity. The team’s write approach exploits the non-linear response of neurons to electric fields to enable localized stimulation of specific cell types.

Another team, from Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, aimed to develop

a completely noninvasive, coherent optical system for recording from the brain. The system will directly measure optical path-length changes in neural tissue that correlate with neural activity.

And another team aimed to develop

a minutely invasive interface system that pairs an external transceiver with electromagnetic nanotransducers that are nonsurgically delivered to neurons of interest. The nanotransducers would convert electrical signals from the neurons into magnetic signals that can be recorded and processed by the external transceiver, and vice versa, to enable bidirectional communication.

The goal of the program was “wearable” neural interface systems for various uses.

A separate effort of the BRAIN Initiative at the NIH described a technology that recorded “signals from patients’ brains while they were asked to speak or mime sentences.” The brain signals themselves, or one might also say the thoughts that produced the brain signals, were then translated into speech by a computer. Such technology is the recording of a person’s thoughts and then converting the thoughts into words with a computer. This should be emphasized: the thinking of speaking words was converted to sounds. Such technology is literally mind reading; it seems to be common sense that human beings think at least some thoughts as words in the mind. The converting of those thoughts into words through the use of technology would be mind reading.

The NIH’s publication describing the experiment does not describe what type of technology was used to “record” the words thought in the brain − whether it was electroencephalography, MRI, or other technologies. However, the recognition of words in human brains − mind reading − through recorded brain signals with electroencephalography sensors and MRI was apparently documented as early as 1997; the recognition of sentences was reportedly documented in 1998

(Without actually doing the research, it is somewhat difficult to determine whether the references are true, partially incorrect or falsified, or completely falsified. The two previous references may be less trustworthy than those published by BRAIN Initiative scientists; even U.S. federal government scientific references may not be completely trustworthy, though. One point implied throughout this article is that the basic medical and wireless technologies described have been available for so many years that the perfection of or the advancement to remote, covert, non-invasive, and wireless brain recording and manipulation appears to be possible.)

Of course, it is necessary to mention again that the DARPA and BRAIN Initiative programs are non-classified and non-secret information. Also, it should be mentioned that, generally speaking, wireless and “non-invasive” technology often becomes usable from distances further and further away. Thus, a “wearable” neural interface could potentially be developed to be used without wearing on the head and used remotely and covertly on other persons without their knowledge. To put it simply, such brain technologies seemingly could be developed to be used for remote and covert surveillance or as a remote and covert weapon.

Implications

Think about the possibilities. What might be one of the most sought-after, and intrusive, surveillance technologies in “national security” or for military purposes? How about knowing the thoughts, emotions, and/or future plans of a potential target? Law enforcement, the “intelligence community,” and national security personnel say that the purpose of surveillance is to know the current actions and future plans of persons and prevent persons from committing an act by discovering the potentially planned act “at the earliest possible moment.” (Page 7) The earliest possible moment is when the act is thought about or presented as an option in the brain.

And could such technology be used as a weapon? How about remote and covert brain manipulation (or “stimulation,” “control,” etc.) which could put thoughts and/or emotions into a target’s mind? Torture, at various levels of intensity, could potentially be achieved with such technologies. Simply forcing the thinking of a few words, thoughts, or emotions repetitively (or remotely and covertly “controlling specified cell types and circuits” repetitively or in other abnormal ways) could be torturous. Complete brain manipulation or mind control would be unnecessary to cause significant harm.

Put it another way: technologies which are used to treat brain disorders might be able to be developed to cause brain disorders. Non-invasive, miniature or “nanotechnologies,” and/or wireless brain technologies could potentially be used as such remote and covert weapons, without the targeted person even knowing they are being “attacked.”

READ: Federal law authorized ‘covert agents’ within the US weeks before COVID-19

Another possible use of such technology might be to “interrogate” human brains without the targeted person realizing what is going on. For example, it is known that the U.S. federal government intelligence community and law enforcement entities like the FBI monitor their own employees for “insider threats;” insider threats are those with knowledge of the methods, technologies, and other information of the FBI and other national security entities who may use their access in a way the government opposes.

Again, if such technology in the above BRAIN Initiative Report is truthfully described and is eventually or already developed for remote and covert use, then such brain recording and manipulating technology could be continually used to interrogate employees’ brains. Continually “interrogate” employees’ brains to determine which employee, former employee, or others might become a whistleblower.

There is also the possibility that such technologies could stimulate some human bodily movements. Such technologies could potentially stimulate non-human animal actions also. Again, the technologies may potentially work without requiring surgery for implantation into the brain.

While at one time they seemed to most to be impossible, such technologies may be possible and may be some of the most sought-after technologies for military and potentially “law enforcement” purposes in America. And, if not sought-after in America, surely such controlling technologies would be sought-after in countries with unusually suspicious and controlling government leaders which torture their own citizens.

Several additional points could be made, but only a few more can be mentioned here. One is that such remote and covert brain, or more generally “biological,” technologies which could monitor human brain or biological data in real-time for potential health security threats or “all-hazards monitoring” (pages 3, 9, etc.) undoubtedly should have already been prohibited for use by U.S. federal and local government law enforcement, intelligence, and/or national security entities. It does not appear as though such technologies which provide real-time biological data monitoring have been prohibited.

Also, the BRAIN Initiative and DARPA’s program discussed above is non-classified information. Such technologies may already be developed and potentially in use for law enforcement, intelligence, military, or national security which provide real-time monitoring of “biological data,” but the information may be kept secret or classified.

Would the U.S. federal government, or even local governments, use such potentially intrusive and torturous brain technologies?

ANALYSIS

(LifeSiteNews) – Thousands of farmers in the Netherlands are in an ongoing struggle with the Dutch government over plans that will lead to the expropriation of large numbers of agricultural holdings in order drastically to reduce nitrogen oxide and ammonia.

With European regulations threatening overhead, the Dutch government decided to create a new ministry for “nitrogen and nature” last January, headed by Christianne van der Wal. She was tasked with finding the way to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 50 percent before the end of the decade. It is her plan that put thousands of farmers – and their tractors and even cows – in the streets of the Netherlands on several occasions in June. In the absence of a negotiated solution, a bid to “bring the country to a halt” has turned up on social media, with a group of activists planning to block major airports including Schiphol and Eindhoven, as well as the major ports such as Rotterdam, where a large part of international freight from and to Europe is handled.

Van der Wal presented her plan to reduce emissions on June 10, publishing a map with a fateful color-code that indicated by how many percent emissions must shrink in different parts of the country. This ranges from 12 percent in some places to up to 70 or 95 percent in and around the so-called “Natura-2000” zones, where European regulations tend to make established human presence next to impossible, with a blanket ban on running water and sanitation in the name of protecting plant and animal habitats.

In the Netherlands, emissions are higher than in other European countries due to the density of the population and construction in a relatively small area: the country is 237 times smaller than the United States. About half those emissions can be linked back to livestock farming, which is mostly of the intensive variety in the Netherlands. But as it is easier to reduce the number of farms and farmers than to reduce the population and put a curb on construction works, the “nitrogen minister” decided to work on that variable, at the cost of food production, farmers’ livelihoods, individual rights and liberties, and the historic attachment of the Dutch to the agricultural lifestyle. Indeed, in the wake of the COVID crisis which saw the compulsory closing down of businesses and services – not to mention intense pressure on people to get COVID “vaccines” – the plan to shut down thousands of farms seems like much of a muchness. Authoritarian decisions in the name of the “environment” are clearly being made in order to regulate – or rather, to diminish – meat production and other types of farming in which nitrogen-rich fertilizers are used to feed the world.

As a major food crisis is already looming due to transportation difficulties since COVID, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and rising prices in the fertilizer industry, wiping away part of the Netherlands’ production seems like a crazy move. Unless, of course, this were all part of the “green” dislike of humanity.

For the Dutch farmers, compliance with the June 10 plan would mean choosing extensive over intensive farming, with huge loss of income, or selling farms that have often been in families for several generations. Failing to follow the rules would lead to expropriation pure and simple – with the government setting aside up to 25 billion euro to pay for wiping livestock and planted fields off the map.

As one young farmer put it, the perspective of getting 1.5 million euro for his plot of land might sound like good news, but the one-time income would be taxable and he would lose the job he loves and has been trained for, forever.

Right-wing parties that are against the Dutch center-left coalition government’s plans are talking about “communism” being implemented by the liberal-left-wing government, and rightly so: the plan reads like an attempt to take away means of production from free individuals and to have them regulated by the state at unprecedented levels.

It is no small paradox that the tiny Netherlands should be able to make such a difference. With its approximately 41,543 square kilometers where almost 17.5 million inhabitants rub shoulders, mostly in individual houses owned by families, and 162 nature reserves, one would hardly expect agricultural produce to be large.

But the Netherlands is Europe’s largest meat producer and it is also the second-largest exporter of agricultural products in the world, behind the United States but well before Germany, Brazil, China, France, and Spain. The country boasts 42 percent of the world’s cut flowers and ornamental plants produce.

Obviously, this could not be true if the Netherlands did not use cutting-edge technology, that includes new methods of indoor production with lighting systems that are limited to wave-lengths necessary for photo-synthesis and 90 percent less need for water. Livestock farms are also moving away from the traditional pastures where cows and sheep would peaceably graze on the Netherlands’ incredibly, almost indecently fertile soil, on ground conquered since the Middle Ages on the rivers and ocean. That ground has now become immensely valuable, selling for up to 80 times the prices obtained in nearby France, and that is also part of the problem.

This kind of intensive, highly-mechanized farming does raise eyebrows and an argument for more “humanized” means of food production can make sense.

However, the Dutch example shows several things: first, that farmers and especially young farmers are proud of their work and prepared to labor hard to feed their fellow-men; second, that feeding mankind’s billions is not at all an impossible task even with limited land; third, that while traditional farming deserves to be promoted, the present move against all kinds of “emissions” will certainly be detrimental to part of that humanity, as food prices rise and production is tyrannically pushed down.

From that point of view the Netherlands appear to be used as a political laboratory, with a top-down approach set on changing landscapes and moving men and women out of their traditional surroundings and out of their homes in the name of “nature.”

Interestingly, other options exist to diminish nitrogen and ammonia emissions (the latter coming from urine and feces of livestock). A milestone in this war against farmers was a May 2022 Dutch High Court decision that suspended building permits and blocked plans for housing, road, and runway construction because the building industry also emits nitrogen oxides. Science.org reported that “the shutdown put some 14 billion euro worth of projects in jeopardy,” according to a major Dutch bank. Farmland, with its relatively low population, is easier to target than the building industry.

And the European Court of Justice is also egging on the Dutch authorities in that direction: the Dutch High Court decision was an implementation of an E.U. court decision that ruled in favor of environmentalists who sued the government for having issued permits for livestock holdings near nature reserves.

The radical right-wing party, Forum voor Democratie, claimed that environmentalist issues are being used to force farmers off the land, to make it available for construction.

Nitrogen makes the soil more fertile; among the environmentalists’ grievances is the fact that traditional heathland, where plants grow that need poor earth to prosper, is becoming greener because of emissions.

Fundamentally, the situation in the Netherlands is linked to a rejection of man’s dominion over nature and mankind’s mission to make land prosper and grow in order to feed, clothe, and protect human beings. That man should be a good steward of nature is one thing: placing the rights of nature above man is another, in line with the dreams of the great “resetters.”

Farmers in the Netherlands are responding with calm and determination. On Wednesday of last week, some 40,000 farmers drove to Stroe, a small town east of Amsterdam, blocking the already clogged highways with their tractors, before gathering in a field with horns blowing and lights flashing. They were plainly fighting for their future and for their children. One proclaimed: “You can’t just close farms that are hundreds of years old. You just can’t.”

Video footage captured farmers blocking major highways with their tractors, in imitation of the Canadian Truckers’ “Freedom Convoy” which blockaded the Canadian Parliament building over tyrannical COVID shot mandates at the beginning of the year.

Farmers also gathered in The Hague last week, complete with cows. Some took to spraying government offices with manure while others blocked the border with Germany using manure in protest of plans to shut down farms.

Their protests have full support from the rightwing parties and an increasing percentage of the population stands behind them, with 45 percent now in “full support” against 38 percent last October when the government started indicating that it would use heavy measures against agricultural production. This is despite the annoyances caused by protests.

Next week, with the farmers’ plans to “block” the country, the situation will become more radical. Municipalities around Schiphol, Amsterdam’s airport, have warned that they will clamp down hard on the protests. The Dutch army is also ready to act, according to the Netherlands’ defense minister, Kasja Ollongren. Tanks are already present near the airport.

HEERENVEEN, Netherlands (LifeSiteNews) — An investigation has reportedly been opened after Dutch police opened fire on a tractor driver as farmers wage a days-long protest against restrictive new environmental regulations that could cost them their livelihoods.

Video footage captured Tuesday night showed a Dutch officer shooting live rounds at a tractor driver as he drove past officers during the multi-day protest.

The police alleged the shots were fired because tractor drivers had “attempted to drive into officers and service vehicles.”

“At about 10:40 p.m., tractor drivers attempted to drive into officers and service vehicles. This happened at the entrance Mercurius/A32 in [Heerenveen]. A threatening situation arose. Warning shots were fired and targeted shots were fired,” Dutch police said in a statement. Life is winning! With the overturning of Roe v. The shooting did not reportedly result in any injuries, but officers arrested three people involved in the protest.

In a July 6 tweet, Dutch writer and former university lecturer and lawyer Sietske Bergsma reported that the target of the police shooting had been a 16-year-old boy named Jouke.

Bergsma, who has written for Dutch news and opinion site ThePostOnline and her own website The Fire Online, said that Jouke “was shot at while driving away and is now detained in Leeuwarden.”

Protesters reportedly surrounded the police station where the 16-year-old was being held, arguing the police officer who shot at him committed attempted murder. The boy has since been freed.

The shooting will reportedly be investigated by an individual affiliated with the Dutch government.

The incident came amid days of protests by Dutch farmers in response to a government proposal to cut emissions of nitrogen oxide, ammonia, and other pollutants by roughly 50% by 2030, Fox News reported.

According to the report, “Provincial governments have been given a year to formulate plans to achieve the goal.”

Dutch government data suggests that if enacted, the policy could shut down as much as 30% of livestock farms in the country, The Daily Wire noted.

The outlet also pointed out that after unveiling the plan late last month, the government had acknowledged in a statement that “[t]he honest message … is that not all farmers can continue their business.”

Thousands of Dutch farmers responded to the proposal by blocking roads, highways, and supermarket distribution centers with their tractors. In solidarity with the farmers, fishermen also blocked off ports, German news outlet Deutsche Welle reported.

According to the Dutch government, goals to cut emissions in half by 2030 and by 95% in 2050 had been “laid down in the Climate Act on May 28, 2019.”

“The Climate Agreement is an essential part of the Climate Plan, and of the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) that Member States of the EU are required to submit to the European Commission,” the Dutch government states on its public-facing website.

The Netherlands has also adopted as its “guiding principles” the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals.

The 2030 Agenda has drawn widespread criticism from conservatives. In a 2018 article for The Epoch Times, writer Ileana Johnson argued the World Economic Forum (WEF)-endorsed global scheme is a “U.N. vision with communist undertones for the future which every ‘global citizen’ must subscribe to and adopt, under the false pretense of protecting and preserving the planet for the future.”

Over the past several years, the WEF has promoted a major shift away from traditional agriculture, switching to “alternative” protein sources like cultured meat or insects.

Likewise, Bill Gates, a prominent supporter of “sustainable” global pathways and the largest private owner of farmland in the United States, has openly suggested that “rich nations should switch entirely to synthetic beef.”
